FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
General
Is there PARKING available?
Oh yeah. Beaucoup. Free and right out front.
I’m here. WHERE are you?
We are right next to Sanita's Brewery inside a dark gray building marked “The Studio (Boulder).”
How do I get in, and how many HOURS can I stay?
There is a four-digit code (fancy, we know) to access the space, which is open from 9am-5pm. If you’re arriving
outside of those hours, give us a ring and we’ll coordinate getting you in. For all studio rentals, we will always
have a team member on-site to ensure you have access to the building and support you during your rental.
I’ve got a truck full of gear, where can we LOAD IN?
There are ramps, a large garage door at the front entrance, or
a loading dock on the side of the building. All are easily accessible, and will make even the most hardened crew
member (almost) enjoy unloading and loading.
You’ve piqued my interest. Can I see it BEFORE I RENT?
Totally, come check it out! We’re always excited to meet fellow creatives. Let us know and come hang out!
PROCESS
Let’s do this. What do you NEED FROM ME?
We do our best to make the whole process as simple as possible. These two documents are essential:
a Signed Rental Agreement and a Certificate of Insurance (COI).

Insurance is complicated and scary and expensive. Can you break down the RENTAL INSURANCE details for me?
We feel ya. There are two main things to know:
-
For rentals with an equipment value of less than $5,000.00 - no insurance is required, but we will ask for a copy
of a valid driver’s license.
-
For the studio and/or rentals over $5,000.00 - we require proof of insurance. The COI must be made out to:
LSP Film Rentals
3350 Frontier Ave. STE A2
Boulder, CO 80301
I need gear for more than a few days. Do you give a DISCOUNT for LONG RENTALS?
We offer a standard “3-day week” for rentals, meaning rentals of 7 consecutive days are only charged for 3 days.
Need it longer than that? Give us a call and we can get you a custom quote.
What happens if worlds collide and I have to CANCEL?
Ah yes, they seem to like doing that. If an order is canceled within 24 hours before pickup, you'll be charged the full
amount for the rental. Otherwise, no worries! And we hope those worlds untangle for you soon.

What happens if worlds nearly collide and I have to RESCHEDULE?
Same deal. If an order is rescheduled within 24 hours before pickup, you'll be charged the full
amount for the rental. Any rescheduling outside of the 24 hour pickup window, and you're free to reschedule. Though we can't confirm your order will be available for your new requested window dates, we'll do everything we can to help make it right and get you what you need.
Have to ask, what about WEATHER CONTINGENCIES?
You just never know what the Colorado skies have in store. If a rental has to be postponed due to weather, we'll do our very best to try and help
accommodate.
Never got to the wrap party, and gotta keep the production party going. What say you about RENTAL EXTENSIONS?
We know that story well. As long as gear is not on hold for another rental, you’re more than welcome to extend your
rental as needed. Just give us a heads up as soon as it's heading that way so we can double check things on our end.

What if YOU DON’T HAVE something I’m looking for – does our story end here?
Fear not! As a boutique rental house, we try to keep a select catalog of gear that we know is the most useful for
productions. If we don’t have exactly what you need – rest assured! – we have lots of friends in high places, and we’ll do everything we can to get you
squared away.
Let’s say I have a million things to do, or I'm stuck somewhere and can’t pick up my rental. Is there a chance for rental DELIVERY, like a 'GearDash' or something?
Yep, like something out of Fields of Dreams, if you rent it, we will come. Keep in mind, though, that we only delivery
locally, and we do charge a reasonably wee fee. If interested in this service, let us know and we will include this in our quote.

I’d sleep much better if I knew all the gear had been tested and was ready to go. Do you do any GEAR TESTING?
You’re our kind of people. We test each piece of rental gear before it goes out. If there is any specific configuration that you want us to test before
renting, let us know. And if you want to come demo, or just check out the gear before renting, give us a ring and, as they say on The Price Is Right,
" Come on down!"
RETURNS
When / where to return?
Returns can be dropped off as early as 9a MST, but are kindly expected back to our shop by 10a MST the day after your rental period.

Late returns?
Things come up, and we've been there. If you are having trouble making a return window - let us know and we'll do our best to accommodate.
REPAIRS
What if – hypothetically of course! – some type of DAMAGE were in some way to occur somehow?
If there is one thing we’ve learned from being on set, it’s that s!#% happens. After each rental we will inspect
the gear and/or studio. We consider damage to be anything more than normal, cosmetic “wear and tear,” or
anything that negatively impacts functionality.
If the studio, or a piece of gear, is determined to be damaged, we’ll send an estimate for the repair costs for you to review prior to charging your card
on file. Don't forget that your insurance may cover some of the cost for repairs. And, as always, we will work with you to try and make the whole process
as efficient and headache-free as possible.
Payment
How and when do I pay for my rental order?
Payment is expected and appreciated before or on the day of your rental date. Folks can pay upon pickup or studio check-in in-person or you can
prepay by clicking the link on your approved invoice. We accept several forms of payment including credit cards, Venmo, Zelle, ACH Transfers, and
checks. Note: a small credit card fee will be included for payments made by credit card.
ONBOARDING
What paperwork will you need me to complete ahead of my rental?
Once your quote has been approved, we will email you a link to e-submit the following forms to get you set up in our system:
-
Rental Agreement to review and sign
-
Credit Authorization Form to complete and sign
-
Certificate of Insurance to issue to us

What if I can't provide the insurance coverage needed for my rental?
If you aren't able to provide a COI for the coverage needed for your rental, no sweat. We'll be happy to connect you to our our preferred production
insurance vendor, Film Emporium, who can help you set up a rental insurance policy to cover just the equipment you need on a per rental basis.
